Introducing Request for Payment (RFP) – New Payment Schedule

1 new feature

New feature

  • We’re pleased to announce that the new Request for Payment (RFP) feature is now available in Specifi!

The existing Payment Schedule feature has now been replaced by Request for Payment (RFP). This new feature provides more flexibility in managing payment schedules and requesting payments throughout a project. You can also create and manage reusable payment schedule templates to make the process quicker and easier.

We’ve prepared video guides to help you get started. Please select the videos relevant to your region and accounting method.

    US Customers

    Accrual Basis Accounting

    UK Customers

You can also find additional related video guides in the Bob's Video section of Specifi.

    Important Notes

    • Schedule templates are common for all customers, regardless of region or accounting method.

    • The old payment schedule is no longer available for new proposals.

    • Existing projects with already agreed payment schedules can continue using the old schedule.

    • Proposals using the old payment schedule that have not yet been agreed must be converted to the new RFP schedule before acceptance. Otherwise, a validation error will appear when attempting to agree to the proposal.

    • You will need to update the permissions for each role that should use RFP, under Company Settings, Access Permissions, RFP

We encourage everyone to explore the new feature and watch the relevant video guides to familiarise themselves with the updated payment process.
