A new work order page, a Work Orders dashboard, types of work and more!

6 New features 2 Improvements

New features

  • A new work order page. Everything about a job now sits on one page. The stages run across the top (Preparing, In Progress, Completion) with estimated, booked, actual and travel hours. Scope of work, visits, tasks, products, misc items and labour follow in one scroll. The customer price, agreement and sign-off sit on the right, including the customer's signature. There's no separate Allocation stage any more: book visits straight from the job with Plan a visit.

  • A new Work Orders dashboard. Counts across the top, and who is where today with a map of every visit. Lists of jobs that need your attention, such as jobs with no visit booked or overdue invoices. Each job in the list shows its next visit, crew, hours, tasks and value. Pin important jobs to the top. Signed-off jobs now have their own Completed tab.

  • Types of work. Tag each job as Site survey, First fix, Installation, Programming & commissioning, Handover & training, Snagging, Service call, Maintenance, Remote support, Upgrade, Warranty & swap-out, Removal or Other. Rename any type and give it a colour in Work Orders → Settings → Types of work. The type shows on the job, in the work order list and in Dispatch.

  • Priority and arrival window. In Edit Work Order, mark a job High or Urgent and set the customer's arrival window. Urgent and high jobs come first in the lists that need attention.

  • Kit & tools. Every job now lists what the crew needs to take to site: its products, the tools you add, and misc items ticked "Crew takes this to site". It works whether or not you use Inventory.

  • Link a standalone work order to a project. Open the job and click Link to project next to the customer's name, then choose one of that customer's projects. This is for jobs that don't have products, labour, misc items, purchase orders or invoices yet; a job that already has them stays standalone. Expenses and mileage on the job move to the project.

Improvements

  • Add from project is quicker on big projects. Search by room or product, and filter by brand, system and stage. Select everything at once with Select all. Products show their MPN and the names you gave them on the project.

  • MPNs now show on products on the work order. Product names you changed on a project carry through to the work order and the customer's sign-off.
